My dad, two daughters and myself
With my dad when I was 13 years old, started my first cabinet installer
job when I was 18 and worked for many well known cabinet companies for
10 years following that. During that time, I graduated head of class
from the MOHAWK cabinet repair course, was a journeyman union carpenter
for 7 of those years, trained other installers and customer service
reps, and twice was promoted to foreman of installers. That was until
the down turn of the housing market in early 2000s.
I used my experience, my problem-solving skills and my natural leadership, to take the Contractors State License Board Exam. Passed with a near perfect score, and became a C-6 contractor with the ability to have my own finish carpentry company. I'm extremely fortunate to own my business and simply blessed to have a wonderful family with two incredible daughters.
Martin Cabinet Designs is a skilled, family owned and operated business. The highest quality at the lowest cost possible to our customers is our goal. We warranty our installed cabinetry from failure for at least one year, for free! Longer terms are available for purchase.
Having been in this industry a while, I do not recommend general contractors and/or unlicensed workers who claim to have a better product for less. Many customers have gone that route only to call us needing a custom alternative to fix the work done with poor craftsmanship/professionalism. There is no room for errors or miscalculations in the finish carpentry business, make the right choice. My sprayed finishes give my cabinets a professional look and feel. I always use glue, fasteners, clamping, and/or many different types of wood joinery for maximum strength and a long-lasting product to be proud of for many years.
